Switched Capacitor Based Cascaded Half-Bridge Multilevel Inverter With Voltage Boosting Feature

چکیده

Cascaded multilevel inverter (CMI) topology is prevalent in many applications. However, the CMI requires switches and isolated dc sources, which main drawback of this type inverter. As a result, volume, cost complexity are increased efficiency deteriorated. This paper thus proposes switched-capacitor-based with half-bridge cells only one source. Compared to conventional CMI, proposed uses almost half number switches, while maintaining boosting capability. Additionally, switched-capacitor inverters capacitor inrush current. problem also averted by using charging inductor or quasi-resonant front-end boost converter. Simulation results lab-scale experimental verifications provided validate feasibility viability topology.
